Ovidiu Cupşa (CERONAV), interviu despre participarea la misiunea de căutare – salvare din Turcia: „La televizor vezi niște grămezi de moloz, dar acolo găseai vieţile oamenilor, pur şi simplu!“

Deşi e specializat în pregătirea profesională a navigatorilor, a arătat că poate îndeplini şi misiunea de salvator. Ovidiu Cupşa, şeful Centrului Român pentru Pregătirea și Perfecționarea Personalului din Transporturi Navale (CERONAV), a participat la o acțiune umanitară de salvare a victimelor cutremurului din Turcia.
Care este povestea plecării, cum se desfăşoară misiunile de scoatere a victimelor de sub dărâmături, ce eforturi fac salvatorii şi, mai ales, cum se vede şi se simte această catastrofă, prin ochii celor care au dat o mână de ajutor – ne spune chiar Ovidiu Cupşa, în cadrul unui interviu pe care îl puteţi asculta astăzi, de la ora 18:30, la Radio Constanţa.
Şeful CERONAV a participat la misiunile de căutare şi salvare în provincia Gaziantep, în Islahyie, un oraş aflat în apropierea graniţei cu Siria.
„Noi făceam parte din echipele care lucrau cu unelte ușoare – cu răngi, cu pichamăr, cu bormașină, cu instrumente de tăiat fier beton. Desfăceam marginile plăcilor, când eram deasupra unui etaj, a unui apartament, încercam să facem zone prin care să se poată vizualiza ce se află dedesubt, după ce decopertam făceam munca asta de desfacere inițială – se băga un miner cu lanterna, se uita dacă găsea corpuri, iar ulterior veneau cu macaralele, ridicau plăcile respective, decopertau apartamentul, se făcea căutare. Vă spun că era impresionant – găseai viețile oamenilor acolo, dincolo de faptul că mai găseai sau nu supraviețuitori sau decedați… Găseai jucării, găseai exact ce aveau oamenii din casă. Am găsit o lucrare de diplomă a unui student, un Coran... La televizor vezi niște grămezi de moloz, dar când erai acolo pur și simplu scoteai obiecte, haine, era impresionant!“, a povestit Ovidiu Cupşa.
În cele trei zile petrecute la Islahyie, echipa din care făcea parte a reuşit să scoată de sub dărâmături trei supravieţuitori:
„Este vorba despre o familie formată din trei persoane – mama, tatăl şi un copil de 5 -6 ani (…) Aceasta a fost o mică parte din din marea muncă a voluntarilor de acolo, din Turcia, dar inclusiv găsirea corpurilor care n-au supraviețuit era destul de importantă, pentru că la baza mormanelor așteptau familiile, veniseră familiile din toată Turcia să-i găsească pe cei dragi, vii sau morți, și să-i recupereze.“
